MRI's indicate that my husband has had TIA's, even tho he doesn't know when he has them. He is 60 years old. He has never smoked nor is he around 2nd hand smoke. He is not overweight. He walks at least 30 minutes every day. He eats fruits and vegetables, and drinks at least one cup of green tea a day. That is the ONLY caffeine that he ever consumes. We do not eat out nor do we eat foods high in sodium. He takes 2 baby aspirin a day, and one Crestor. He does not have diabetes. His family (all medical professionals) tell me we are not taking steps to prevent a stroke. I can not think of one more thing we could do. (once a year we "see" a heart doctor and a neurologist) What is left? What more can we do to prevent a stroke? None of the information on line addresses what to do except: see a doctor, don't smoke, good diet and exercise. Help me please...
